Londoners relocating to Reigate / Haslemere?

Interested to hear of young families who left London for either of these two places which are on our shortlist. Are you happy? What's the best and worst thing about where you live? We're reluctantly moving on from SW London, as we just can't afford the kind of house we want for our growing family. We want fresh air, a decent garden, good food, some culture, good schools, and also hoping to find somewhere which has a sense of community and plenty of other young families around to get to know.

We looked at Haslemere but it was just a bit out of our price range due to the premium for its train links to London (we went further south).

It has a lot going for it in terms of schools, shops and facilities and you have some great countryside on the doorstep.

Depending on your commute you could also consider Petersfield?

Have friends who have moved from SW London to Reigate, Ewell & Banstead. I think the ones in Reigate had some school issues but not sure. All very happy though.
