Relocating Guisborough Redcar Skelton area

Am looking to move early next year to this area. Ideally an outlying village, any local knowledge on places to avoid or seek out. My budget isn't great, maybe £160K tops. Mapped on Rightmove I see places like Dunsdale, Boosebeck, Lingdale but other than relative price no clue what these places may be like to live. Cottage in Dunsdale I spotted looks great, but maybe too good to be true? Any input/opinions gratefully received. TIA

Do you know the area at all?
Come and spend a long weekend in the area, and visit all three places at various times to see what you think.

@CatsOnTheChair
Yeah I am vaguely familiar with the area, but from years ago, like 40 years. I do plan to visit later this year, just don't want to waste time on places which may not suit my preferences. Thx for your suggestion

Redcar is grim.
Stay away from Loftus.
Saltburn is lovely, but maybe outside your budget.
Guisborough is ok in parts, and likely you can get something in your budget.
Great Ayton and Stokesley would be my pick in the area (though further west) - lovely places.

Thanks for your input, helpful advice
Have looked around Stokesley, maybe out of my price range but have an alert setup for anything that comes up

Dunsdale one of its the one I'm thinking of is over priced and consequently been on the market for ages. Look at Margrove Park - there's one for similar money but 3 bed end terrace. Margrove Park is generally higher priced than Dunsdale. Be aware there's no mains gas though. I looked at buying a house there, that was the thing that put me off. Charltons is fine too though parking is more an issue.

Boosbeck always had a bit of a bad rep - there used to be an abattoir right on the high street which was awful, but the council eventually had it closed and it's since been flattened. Will have houses built on it sooner or later. I know a few people who live there and they really like it. Though perhaps more deprived than some areas, hence cheap housing, it's pretty quiet. Nice little shop, pub, active village hall. Lingdale I'd probably still avoid though. Moorsholm is fine as far as I'm aware.

Guisborough is mostly alright - there are some really nice bits but some best avoided, and Skelton has become quite popular recently. Redcar the west side is mostly fine, I'd avoid West Dyke area. Marske is nice.

I meant East side or Redcar is ok 🙈
