"Through room"

Upstairs in our house we have a "through" room. You need to go through it to access the other half of the house (very bad diagram attached!).

We don't need to use it as a bedroom and I am a bit stumped as to what to use it for. We don't need it for any of the following: living room, library, dressing room, home office, gym, playroom or nursery

I want it to be used and enjoyed as it is a stunning room. I suppose it could be an upstairs sitting area - but just wondering if people more creative than me have any bright ideas!

The converted mill I grew up in had huge room sized landings on each floor (3) and we had chairs, art and books in those areas (sounds grander than it was)
We used the middle floor to do 'performances' when we were kids,
Mum had big sideboards on the top floor with spare linen in.

If there's not a lot of storage elsewhere then big cupboards to put out of season/ boring stuff in.

I'd turn the middle bedroom into a landing. Get rid of the back landing (making that bedroom bigger)
So the new landing goes up to those bedrooms on the left

Expatiating through room becomes a bedroom. Seems bigger

Me too. I’d snatch some space off it and make the through room a large bedroom and then I’d make the middle room a hallway

And yes get rid of the back landing and make that back bedroom bigger.

We have similar and have books and a drum kit set up. Long-term plan is to set it up as a place for the kids to use with TV and day bed.

I think that's right about making the smaller room a hallway.

Now getting excited at the thought of some kind of cinema room!

My kids and dh would have that set up as a gaming room in a heartbeat!
