Mortgage/Agreement in principle

Hi, we’re confused first time home buyers.

We got a mortgage/Agreement in principle from an independent broker prior to viewings, who only gets paid if we take mortgage with him. We told agencies we have our MIL, but they keep transferred us to their own financial advisers who want to give us their MIP.

We’re happy with our broker and feel bad not proceeding with him.

Can we refuse the agencies’ advisers? What’s the right thing to do?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can definitely refuse and use your own broker!
