have a look at ratedpeople.com (or co.uk) at least you get people serious about coming to give you quotes and it does have feedback ratings too.

Thanks - their price range goes up to £30K - I'm spending £200K

Your architect should be able to suggest a few reliable builders. You need to see their work and get references as you can't gamble with your business on an unknown entity.

He's not in this area

I think I found one here

But I need 2 more

I would only use a builder via a recommendation. Ask around your friends and family.

Whereabouts are you in Norfolk?

KatyMac · 14/02/2008 14:07

About 8 miles outside Great Yarmouth

No-one I know builds commercial buildings

When I had my extension built I did that - but it's too big a job for them

Oh, too far for DP to travel (he's a builder)

Are there any other businesses near you who have had work done? Maybe they can put some firms forward?

KatyMac · 14/02/2008 14:17

Not really I'm in a very small village with no industry at all

I'm trying to find local people - but most local builders say it's too big for them & suggest Carters
