Brief background- replaced the kitchen around 20 years ago - kitchen from John Lewis- maple wood.

It was a lot of money at the time for us and the quality is great.

However, I really don't like it any more. The kitchen is dark and I need the light on all day.

I'm thinking of very pale grey ( I know!) or an off-white.

I've looked at a few local places online who will take the doors etc off and spray paint it. BUT what happens to the wood trim around the cooker extractor hood? The extractor would need to be dismantled.

Likewise, the fridge freezer is built in, so how do they spray paint the panels to the sides, that butt up against the work tops?

How do they spray the side of the tall cupboard/ built in unit, that is next to the dishwasher and couldn't be removed?

I just can't see it's feasible.

I got a decorator to paint mine. He did it all by hand.

I’ve also had a decorator paint mine, gave it a whole new lease of life!
