How quickly did you offer?

For all the property I've purchased, I offered either there and then after viewing or within a few hours.

Wondering if this is usual or if the normal is to take longer to decide?

I'm on the market at the moment, finding it surprising how many (at least 6) viewers have said they like it and they will put an offer in 'soon'.

Had another 2 viewings this morning, both couples stayed ages, asked lots of questions, asked to have another look in the rooms, tried blinds, flushed loos, said how great it is, asked about circumstances, solicitors etc and said they'd 'definitely be offering soon'.

It's at the point where I'm thinking 'no you won't, why say it?!'

How quickly did you offer on property you wanted to buy?

Offered the asking price the same day. We'd've lost the house if we hadn't done this - so glad we didn't!

We’ve always offered straight after a viewing and at asking. Got every house we’ve offered on. But then we wouldn’t view things over what we’re willing to spend.

I offered immediately after leaving but had to bloody twist the estate agents arm to submit it to the seller for a day or two.

Might be worth emailing the estate agent (so it's in writing) that you want any and all offers putting to you immediately, even if theyre very low.
