They literally look like every other oven on the market?

Faz469 · 15/03/2023 16:00

We used to have am ikea oven. Never had a problem with it

SiobhanSharpe · 15/03/2023 16:03

Range looks a bit limited to me. No double built in oven with 2nd smaller oven-grill combo.
(I'm looking for a double built-in oven and grill atm.)

KatyMac · 15/03/2023 16:27

Do you think they look alike these are others I've looked at and they don't match within the range of look half as nice

Yes a double oven is missing

We loved our IKEA oven and just ordered it again for new house. We had the black forced air one. Only issue was it didn’t have the option of pyrolytic cleaning but that never caused an issue

JorisBonson · 17/03/2023 12:39

Never had a problem with ours, it eats electricity tho.

KatyMac · 17/03/2023 14:05

Thanks @Potatomashed

Eek that doesnt sound good @JorisBonson and its A+ for efficiency

Our Ikea oven was fine, one of the larger silver fan options. Never had a problem with it in the two years we had it. Looked great, reliable, cleaned up very well - then we moved house and had a ‘better’ brand oven (not much more expensive) which put the Ikea oven in a completely different light.
On reflection I wouldn’t buy another one and don’t think they’re very good value. Didn’t heat up as quickly, cook as evenly, heat a full oven as well as the next oven did (which although a big brand oven, was older).

KatyMac · 18/03/2023 07:13

So maybe I should give them a miss

I am struggling to find something suitable

I’m very pleased with ours . Lots of options , cooks well, no issues with cleaning .

KatyMac · 18/03/2023 10:08

Maybe it's different models

What models do you all have pl@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas@eas

Well I have no idea what happened there

I was asking what models you all had

@Faz469 @Gigi606 @JorisBonson @Potatomashed

Thanks

We don't bother with ours much any more. It heats up very slowly and the temperature on screen is way higher than it actually is in the oven. After several ruined dinners I purchased an over thermometer and that did help. It would take double the time to cook things than it should and frankly it was/is a PITA.

Will replace it eventually.

I'd not buy Ikea appliances again.

Sunriseinwonderland · 18/03/2023 10:29

Mine lasted for 20 years.

magicstar1 · 18/03/2023 11:01

We’ve had an Ikea double oven since 2016, and love it. It heats up quickly, and cooks perfectly, whether it’s a roast dinner or baking cakes.

Skiphopbump · 18/03/2023 11:06

It looks like they are Electrolux and whirlpool brands.

KatyMac · 18/03/2023 11:44

I'm looking at anbatta or smaksak; has anyone got one of those?
