I’m stunned folks love that, there is far too much clashing wallpaper and no harmony. It’s awful. And I say that as someone who has their fair share of bold expensive wallpaper. For me some of it can stay but much of it paint.

I agree. I like maximalism but this isn’t a good example, imo.

I'd keep the paper on one bedroom wall. The rest would have to go.

mrsfennel · 09/03/2023 07:45

I want the cat lamp.

I like the lounge , the kitchen diner and the bathrooms. The hallway feels a bit much/disjointed as does the main bedroom. I would probably paint the hallway or find a less fussy paper and some of the walls in the bedroom. Three lots of wallpaper in the kitchen/diner seems a lot so would probably paint one of the papered walls.

The front door is really dull, and I also love the cat lamp Smile

Oh fun! The wall paper geek in me is delighted to recognise house of hackney and mind the gap as well as timorous beasties!! Might be some morris and co in there too. I agree that there are some fantastic elements but overall it’s too much.

Oh it's a cat lamp! I thought it was a real cat traumatised by the decor.🙀

@TwoLeftSocksWithHoles 😂😂😂😂😂. On second glance it probably is!

Bigmirrorssmallrooms · 09/03/2023 08:32

I think they’ve even wallpapered their cooker extractor fan.😂

Some of it I love, some I would want to change.
Where the wallpaper stays I would want to paint coordinating colours on the ceiling. The plain white ceilings are incongruous.

Handsnotwands · 09/03/2023 11:05

i wonder if they got left over rolls and that's why there is the odd juxtaposition of different patterns?

i'm all for colour and pattern but this does kind of look a bit bung it up and hope for the best rather than a considered scheme with harmony of scale/ tone etc

bilbodog · 09/03/2023 11:49

I love the timorous beasties wallpaper but overall its a bit too much - i think i would keep some of the wallpaper but paint some of the walls a plain contrasting colour to make it less busy.

Beaglesonlyplease · 09/03/2023 12:00

It’s a bit dazzling with wallpaper but some elements I’d love!

I'm jealous of people who can have their homes filled with patterns and colour and stuff and not look like they have a hoarding disorder. I couldn't deal with the upkeep of that many surfaces and soft furnishings. I love that the owners of this house obviously just went with what they love and a big 'so what' to anyone else.

SunsetStrip · 09/03/2023 13:05

I know it's very 'love it or loathe it" but I love a feature wall, I'd probably leave some of the papers and use some paint to make it a feature.

Newestname002 · 09/03/2023 14:51

I love most of it - especially the hallway. I'm too anxious to actually chose something like this in my own home and usually end up with something bland, but would love someone to have chosen it for me. All except the creepy crawlies in the loo/bathroom. I wouldn't like that next to me whilst I was on the toilet. 🌹
