Insurance for older/bigger house

Can anyone please recommend insurers for older/slightly unusual houses?

We're moving from a 15 year old semi into a house that was part built in the 1860s, part stone part brick, little bit of flat roof etc and the quote from Direct Line who we're with now is about £800pa.

We currently pay £200ish on the semi.

Is there another provider that is more used to more unusual properties please? For instance, the new house has a tiny bit of flat roof which is a newer bit, but the box you have to tick with Direct Line is that it's a house built in 1860 that has 0-25% flat roof?

Thanks

Ours is with Hiscox via Aston Lark. Ours is a complicated older property and it was difficult getting sensible quotes - the online tools don’t work, and when we did get quotes they varied wildly. Would definitely recommend calling around a fair bit, though it is slightly painful.

We found NFU best value for an unusual old property.
