Clear glass splashback over tiles?

Has anyone had a clear glass splashback fitted over tiles and if so, did you have any problems with it or regret it?

This will be new tiling (new kitchen) and I'm thinking of doing this so I can have the look of tiles all around and yet still have the easy-cleaning convenience of glass behind the hob.

Ive never understood the small tile and grout look in kitchens or in showers. However you can get large format tiles that butt up to each other. We just don’t seek out the best solutions here.

I'm very happy with it. It doesn't show smudges & smears in the way plain glass would. Dead easy to clean; even any behind-the-hob splatter only needs wiping with a hot soapy cloth, no fannying around 'polishing' it up.
