Bathroom refit - Wickes, B&Q etc?

I'm looking to get my bathroom redone in the new year.

I want to have B&Q/Wickes etc do the pull out and refit as I'm really fed up with my local tradespeople. Is that unwise?

I just want to replace the bath (keep the existing shower system) replace the toilet, sink and radiator. And then just get the walls retiled and the flooring replaced.

Has anyone had a good experience with these companies?

South East.

Friends are scattered around and anyone that has used tradespeople in the area are full of horror stories too.

We used Trusted Traders via 'Which' to find an electrician, plumber and kitchen fitter 3 years ago (total kitchen strip out, rewire, replumb, refit). Everyone we used was excellent. All traders go through a 'Which' vetting process; worked very well for us.

We're in West Midlands btw

Oh that sounds like a good idea @Songsareliketattoos. I'll look into that.

We got a quote for B&Q bath from, wasn’t even a full refurb. Quoted £5k we had it done by a local contractor found on my builder for £2.2k, with better spec fittings. We were also told it would be after Christmas which wouldn’t work as we were only getting it done earlier than planned due to the bath having a crack and water leaking through to the kitchen

@Songsareliketattoos, I use a very good tradesman and am also in West Midlands but he is booked 5 months in advance ATM. He fitted me a downstairs cloakroom in a large cupboard downstairs. I bought the toilet and basin and he fitted and tiled floor. He also fitted laminate on a lounge floor for in a different house but I have to wait until new year before he can fit laminate into hall.
