Taking the step to get on the property ladder

Hello all

I have finally taken the step to get on the property ladder. I have family in Yorkshire and Derbyshire but I am not a fan of where my family live in Yorkshire ( Barnsley & Wakefield) but I kind of like Mosborough a little.

Re Derbyshire, I like the fast train to London ( 1:30max) and it's a little diverse. But, chesterfield is more affordable for me.

I have also viewed properties in Fernwood which is not too far from Yorkshire.

So I am trying to narrow down. My budget is £210-240 for a 3bedroom.

I have two kids, 5 year old girl and 10 year old boy. So secondary school is exceptionally important to me. My son is also very active in football and swimming.

Please send your suggestions to me. No advice is too small.

Thank you all!!!

Wait a while for the current financial shocks to work through the system a bit.

Where do you work? Commute and transport links will play a large part I assume?

What about Sheffield? I was there for uni and found it quite diverse (I’m Black).
