Removing Danish oil from frosted window panel?

In the classic tale of if I wanted something doing properly, I should have done it myself:

DH has applied Danish oil to a new interrupt door but in the process has applied a lot of it to the frosted glass panels.

is there any way at all to clean/clear it?

If it were me I'd be looking at using a solvent - I'd try Meths. Frosted glass is rough the the oil will sit in the pits, making it very hard to get out. Get it nice and wet so the meths soaks into the pits.
