Buying house in Twickenham! Need inputs!

We are currently living in Isleworth and looking to move to Twickenham mainly to have fast commute to Waterloo and good school access for our daughter who is currently in nursery. We like a house on London Road that satisfies our budget and space requirements plus around 10 min walk to the station. It looks like it also come under the cachment of St Mary’s Church of England school and possibly the Orleans primary school

we have never lived in Twickenham but like it very much. The house is also not far from the Rugby stadium.

We like the house but are also a bit anxious as the mortgage rates are rising faster every week so we also don’t want to wait around for houses. Any further increase will decrease our affordability. It feels very stressful at the moment !

please anyone living in Twickenham provide some inputs on the area.

thank you

I used to live in Twickenham many (30+) years ago, still visit friends who remain there and love the area. Sorry not very helpful!

If you're living in Isleworth already, you're already bordering Twickenham, so I'm not sure what input I could give that you don't already know? Aircraft noise, crowded, London Road is busy and Rugby days are a nightmare and your road will be completely shut. Other than that, decent high street, lots of cafes, restaurants, well connected to London etc.

I wouldn’t live on an A road. Noise day and Night, not to mention the pollution. Not ideal for the kids.
Twickenham is nice otherwise.

Twickenham is lovely and they are both great schools.

You can rent your parking space on matches days, but the traffic is something else, also affected by matchday traffic from the Stoop.
