Gas hob spare part name?

Hi there, we have recently moved in to our house and only two of the burners work on the hob. After some investigation I think it's because this is missing under two of the control knobs.
I would love to order some spares, but no idea what they are called. I have googled 'gas hob knob collar' but am too scared to google 'knob ring' 😆.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Gas hob spare part name?

It will be specific to the make and model.
If you look for the GC (gas council) number or other model number of the hob written on the label, you should be able to find the exploded diagram online and manual, and order the part.
Technically it would need to be installed and tested by a Gas Safe registered engineer, to make sure it's safe.

They will have got squashed inside- dig about a bit

Crikey thanks for your replies @cleowasmycat and @johnd2 . I have been trying to find a diagram of the hob, our oven is a Bosch and their model information is really good. Baumatic probably would be equally informative, if I could get to the model number, but I think I'd need to dismantle the whole kitchen to get to it.
Other spare part knobs don't seem to come with this plastic collar and little generic kits come with something completely different. I might have to go into my local plumbing merchants and ask there.

How about washer - plastic washer for twist control?

Pixiedust1234 · 10/09/2022 18:14

www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-service/care-protection-and-parts

It says you can call them about spares.

Go onto e-spares, put in as many details as you can of the make, model etc. Up will pop dozens of spares.

That is how I usually identify what I am looking for, no matter how obscure !!

Try www.cookerspareparts.com/search/gas-hob-spares

I will have to ring Baumatic and ask them i think -our built-in oven in Bosch but the hob is Baumatic. I foolishly thought it would be standard washer thingy.

That's the problem really, because the hob is set into the worksurface, I think I have to take the oven out to be able to see the underside of the hob where the model number is.
If I google Baumatic spares it takes me to Hoover web site.

oh okay. I only saw you say bosch. My gas cooker doesn't have that white plastic at all but i do get trying to figure out the specific names. I've had hours of fun recently trying to figure out how to deep clean each bit on mine. Good luck

I'm very grateful you replied @Pixiedust1234 , thank you. Cleaning it all will be another job, although I was happy to find out that the metal shelves fit in the dishwasher. Very satisfying :)

I have found this but no idea how big it is, or if it is the right thing 🙄
