Do solicitors only send enquiries once searches through

We’re further ahead with our purchase (our solicitor is awaiting an answer to her remaining 3 questions) than with our sale. Our solicitor has not yet received any enquiries from our buyer’s solicitor. I know their searches were ordered a bit later - do solicitors wait until they’ve received the results of the searches before raising any enquiries? The three of us (buyer, us, seller) are the only ones in the chain.

All mortgages are through and surveys are done. Desperate for this to go through by end of October.

It varies a little, different solicitors will have their own ways of working and process they follow, but it would certainly not be unusual for a solicitor to wait for the search results to be received before raising enquiries.

Not sure if it's the norm, but ours raised enquiries after the searches came back.

How would solicitor know what to enquire about until they get searches back?

Ours were done once two of the searches came through. The third search didn’t raise any more queries, but if it had we would have had a second round.
