I've always been a sucker for period properties, but we're finding ourselves unexpectedly searching in a very difficult market where the type of house we're most likely able to afford is a 60s-80s bungalow.
I'm trying to imagine what the possibilities are if we had enough spare money to renovate the interior. Are there any beautiful bungalows out there?
My taste leans toward calm, spare and architectural (in another lifetime, I'd live in a Georgian property). I like this designer's work but it's almost exclusively period, highlighting the bones of the house design, in a way that I suspect wouldn't work with a 1970s bungalow: www.instagram.com/anewday_interiordesign/?hl=en
Any ideas for how to make a bungalow lovely?
