Which party wall notices do we need to serve?

Anyone with experience on party wall stuff?

We are mirroring our adjoining neighbour’s extension (semi detached). Foundations are not going deeper than theirs, so I don’t know if we need an excavation notice, but wondering whether to serve one anyway to cover our bases?

We will serve a party structure notice as we are removing chimney breasts along the party wall.

Other neighbours (detached on that side) will get a ‘within 6m excavation notice’.

Do we need a line of junction notice for our attached neighbours? We will be building an extension wall alongside their extension wall. I have googled but can’t work out whether line of junction applies to us.

You need to ask a builder, who will know all the permissions etc that are needed

Thanks. Builders were the ones who suggested that we may not need the excavation notice, but I wanted to double check. Was thinking we could serve noticed today as Sunday gives us more time to chat to neighbours about our plans, but will wait to check with our party wall surveyor.
