Anyone uses outdoor roller blind for home?

I've been thinking for years. They are very common in Europe and worked well to keep heat/cold out whilst keep the bedroom dark in the morning.

I just wonder why I nearly never seen any in the UK for residential properties. Do they not work well here? Or people just don't like the look of them?

If you have them, do you have any recommendation for types and etc.?

We have them on an apartment in DHs home town in mainland Europe. They are amazing and we do always wonder why you don’t see them in the UK (although they would look awful on our 17th century home). The DC sleep SO much better there due to the blackout of both light and noise. Can’t advise on getting them here though!
