Front door colour

Wondering whether to change front door colour....

Property is a chalet bungalow. White windows and currently a (new so don't want to replace) painted white wooden door.

Looking to sell in not too distant future so pondering door colour while we have dry weather.

What do you think is most likely to appeal to buyers? It is a family house in a village setting with lots of greenery and colour in the front garden, if that makes a difference.

There is a detached garage with wooden doors so I would look to paint those to match.

TIA 😊

I've got teal, and had lots of compliments on it. The surround is white. Black post box on the side, stainless steel fittings. Looks good, neither too bright, nor bland.

Thank you all.
Food for thought!

Painted white wood is really fine though! Why change that? The house we bought had an ugly front door, it didn't stop us, and painted white wood can be elegant. If you're sold on changing it then i'd suggest it matches the garage doors, if you have any.

There are some websites/apps that allow you to upload a photo of your exterior and then play around with swapping colours etc.

Here's one

I'd go for a sage green on both the front door and the garage door, assuming it goes with the rest of the house. It's popular and inoffensive.

Having said that I saw a lovely former farmhouse for sale, immaculately painted in cream with sage green woodwork. As soon as the new owners moved in they repainted it pale pink and white. So you're always second guessing other people's taste really Smile
