Tried 3 builders and had no luck getting a quote (mainly wanted ballpark figure so we can figure out if we can raise the funds to help decide on renovate vs move). 1 came out then didn’t bother quoting, one said he’d text a date to come out and didn’t bother and 1 I can’t get hold of.
If it’s this difficult just to get a quote starting to think I’d rather just move! But in the interests of trying to do the financially sensible thing, has anyone done similar recently and can tell me how much it cost please?
-Rip out downstairs bathroom and make kitchen diner (no steels required)
-Turn box room into bathroom (same side of house as existing bathroom)
-Dormer loft conversion with en suite
Small mid terrace cottage just outside London. Extension probably not possible due to awkward set up of neighbours’ extension and narrow garden.
DH and FIL very handy but time poor so can do some stuff but I’d prefer them not to take on too much as it probably won’t get done for years!
