Moving to Brighton-Removal Quotes

ChristmasShinySnowflakes · 21/01/2008 12:04

Have just been on the 'phone and have had 9 quotes ranging from £45 to £350

I am moving:

2 sofas
small kitchen table and chairs
Coffee table
Wardrobe
Chest of drawers
Bookcase
Shelving Unit
Around 20 boxes

All in all it will take 2 men around 4.5 hours door to door- what would you expect to pay?

dunno, but welcome to brighton

Thanks

I've just booked a company quoting £150 which is less than I was expecting to pay but they sound great. The £45 quote rang alarm bells as being too cheap

Hello ChristmasShinySnowflakes! Hope your move goes well and you settle in nicely. Brighton is the best place to live. Look out fo r our meetups too. We are a very friendly bunch.

Thanks for the warm welcome

I'd love to join your meet-ups....but being that I'm not a Mummy (unless my cat counts ) not sure I would be allowed- I work in the childcare sector hence being a Mumsnetter!

Of course you're allowed. We don't just talk children you know. I am very that you've got a cat. My dh won't let us have one, so we have to make do with our next-door-neighbour's one

Funny thing is, she will invariably end up on dh on the sofa in the evenings and he loves her!!

Well feel free to come and visit mine!
I'll keep my eyes peeled for any meet up's- I move the middle of February
