We have a pebble dashed 1930s semi and need a new front door. The front is an arch and with a single door needs side panels. I can't decide:
Colour - we're not changing the windows and I don't like mismatched colour doors with frames so do we stick with a white door? Or colour matched door and frame but mismatched windows? I don't mind painting the pcv frames of the ground floor windows but no chance i can to the first floor.
Style - traditional or modern? I was looking at traditional but having taking a nosy round the neighborhood, some 'traditional doors' look awful but would a modern door in white look terrible?
Glass - I love stained glass but as with style, this often looks old and tired. Do we need to carry on the diamond pattern like the windows or can this be plain, smoked or textured privacy glass?
Side panels - fully glass or a quarter/third/half pvc.
Garage - we're changing this door as well, should colours match?
