Rimless toilet - worth it?

We are getting a new bathroom. I am considering a rimless toilet but would love to hear from anyone who has one, especially in regards to splashing.
They don’t seem to be any more expensive in the catalogues I am looking in.

A bit of Googling has shown advantages to be:
More efficient flush - uses less water.
More effective flush - no problems with solids or loo roll not being flushed first time (we have low water pressure as we are at the top of a hill so this is a problem for us at present - we often need to flush 2/3 times which is a nuisance and bad for environment).
Easier to clean.

Disadvantages:
Splashing.

The main problem seems to be the splashing. According to Google this is only if they aren’t fitted properly. Putting the lid down can stop it even if it does splash.

My main question is is, it true they only splash of badly fitted. How frequently are they fitted badly and splash.

I’ve had an Ideal Standard fitted 3 weeks ago and haven’t had a single splash. In my previous house I had a Roca The Gap for 8 years and it never splashed once. We aren’t obsessive about putting the lid down either. I’d never heard of the splashing issue.

I’ve cleaned a few in my time. (Cleaner). The only ‘splash’ issue I’ve had, is where the water pressure is high - so even bathroom taps turned slightly on will splash water everywhere type high.
They are fab and I would have them when /if ours need replacing.

I’ve recently bought rimless toilets. Not noticed any splashing.

However, one of the toilets has what I’ve now termed a “shit shelf”. Sadly this is the toilet used by boys who don’t think to use a toilet brush 🤦🏼‍♀️

So I’d also make sure you choose a different design 😂

We closer lid so no idea about splashing. We do have to flush more frequently and I end up getting toilet brush out multiple times daily as water didn't seem to rinse every side of toilet bowl as no rim
