Land Registry - Removing a charge from the deeds

Hello,

Wondering if anyone has any experience with a request at the land registry which has been give a turn around time of 48h to be resolved.

We're buying a house and we're supposed to complete last Friday. This got delayed because because just before we exchanged the solicitors found that there was a charge against the property from the current owners partner due to some debt they had, but he is now deceased. The debt company have asked the land registry to remove this charge and our solicitors have said it will be resolved by the land registry in 48h.

However, when I have google issues being expidited no where does it mention 48h turn around time.

This is a hugely urgent issue, since we were supposed to move last Friday the entire contents of our house is packed up and we are temporarily living with parents and people are moving into our house next week.

If anyone has any experience with something similar and can offer any reassurance the issue will actually be resolved in 48h it would be great to hear from you!

Thanks xx
