Is it hard to paint a front door?

My front door (I think it's upvc, the house is less than 20 years old) is looking tired and faded. If I paint it myself will I make a complete mess of it? Is it better to pay someone?

I did ours and it is still as good as the day I did it. Went from white to black and absolutely adore it! I used Zinzer multi paint and did 3 really thin coats. 1st coat looks a mess and I completely panicked... but stick with it!

Please excuse the mess of the black front door. We are in the middle of a big extension so needs a wipe down!

Just had ours sprayed and it looks amazing. Highly recommend

I did mine. Frenchic al Fresco range in Wise Old Sage. I did 4 thin coats and it looks great.

Mind you do it at the right temperature though.
