Garden sail vs cantilever parasol

Just that really!

I don't know anyone irl with a garden sail that I might ask.

We've have parasols in the past but I find them clunky and they take up a lot of patio space. I don't find they offer consistent shade either.

Ideally I'd like a sail that I can take down in winter. Our garden is square so perhaps if we got a triangle shape one it might do the trick?

Any advice much appreciated

We have both. Parasol will be more useful

I was pondering this, then remembered we have an event shelter/gazebo so I put that up over the seating area. It's providing a large area of shade, very happy.
