Paint pads to cut in - worth it?

Are paint pads good tools for cutting in paint? I have a lot of painting to do in the next 2 weeks and a lot of cutting in to sort. I'm handy with a brush and I don't mind prepping with masking tape, but am wondering if there's a quicker abs neater way.

I don't like them, especially with corners as the plastic frame would drag across the side you've just painted when doing corners
