Large, High Gloss Floor Tiles in Kitchen

Does anyone have any experience of having very large glossy kitchen floor tiles?

I know the arguments against - slippery, cold, unforgiving if things are dropped, but, we love the look. Apart from the issue of the grout getting dirty and ruining the look.

Our friends chose tiles for their kitchen and instantly regretted it, the upkeep is hard work, every inch of dust/dirt shows up. They are now looking a stone tile effect LVT - hope this helps

We had them in the last house. Had them less than a year and they looked awful. Needed constant cleaning, loads were chipped and cracked (drop anything on them and the glaze shatters). Just absolutely dreadful. Never again.

Obviously I'm on my own here, but we've had polished porcelain in 2 houses now and I LOVE it! It's so easy to clean, nothing sticks, just a quick wipe with a microfibre cloth and it's as good as new. Plus a good microfibre mop, we have an ecloth one.
