To match or To not match!

Should blinds at the front of the house all match and be the same?

I wanted wooden tape blinds in my living room on one side at the front but the other side of the house at the front is the kitchen and we wanted day and night zebra style blinds in white .
Will this look horrendous! Help!

Hmm difficult!
All matching - nice for neighbours, 'kerb appeal' and people outside (who didn't pay for them).
Different ones - nice for people inside who did pay for them.

If I were selling soonish I'd make them match.

I know this doesn't help you at all really!

How can anyone outside see what your blinds are? Surely the pattern doesn't show through? Oh or maybe yours aren't lined...? Mine are lined and they just look plain cream from outside even though on the inside one set is pink flowers, another is a blue geometric pattern and the third is yellow.

@Smidge001 Zebra blinds have a completely different look.

Wooden Venetian blinds and day and night blinds are not lined and will be clearly visible

@Smidge001 these are zebra blinds which I wanted in the kitchen on one side and wooden tape blinds on the other.

As the kitchen has 3 windows really close to the street people would be able to see in if I had wooden tape blinds. It's not so much of a concern in the living room as it only has 1 window.

Just worried about how it will look being mismatched!

Ah OK. I see now - I'd not heard of zebra blinds before and just thought you meant a black and white stripe.

But I don't think it matters from the outside anyway. Go for what suits your indoor decor.

how about that very good frosted/patterned window film some ive seen looks like a beautiful lace
