Do you believe in fate?

Im going through a majorly stressful house purchase at the moment that is about to fall apart today our seller has said if we do not exchange Monday latest he is pulling out. Three exchange dates set and three missed due the the solicitor going missing. We find out today that the buyers haven't even signed the contract.

I am 99% this is all going to fall through and I am convinced if this happens its for a reason. I am heartbroken but something is telling me its not meant to be!

Am I mad?

I believe in confirmation bias! Whatever happens, you will convince yourself that it was the right outcome.

The estate agent will want the sale so maybe speak to them and they might chivvy things along.

I believe it's human nature to try to find the positives in unpleasant situations. This is simple bad luck, it's not been contrived by some supernatural force to make your life better.

Whatever it is, OP, I feel for you. Must be hard to go through the weekend with this hanging over you! I hope that whatever the outcome of this chain, that things will work out for the best!

I feel for you
I had a much wanted purchase fall through

I don’t think there’s a reason but I did foresee problems with the lease

that hasn’t cheered me up much though.

i will keep everything crossed for you.

He so do Op.I believe this house we are in now was made for us! We love it and had such a horrendous moving situation . Good luck, I hope everything works out. Moving is horrendous xx

Absolutely, happened us. We thought the world was conspiring against us. Sellers pulled out, got outbid numerous times even over asking, then one time the property was in for a year with no offer, we offered asking and another bidder appear that same week! We were completely disillioned.
Then along came a property which we had always admired when we passed. Was over our budget, went sales agreed for someone else. We were fairly sad about it but never imagined it would be in our budget. Sale fell through we offered about 8%below what it went for when sale agreed. Seller suddenly desperate to sell and agreed to sell to us. Still pitching ourselves and we are living here a year.
I firmly believe we get what we are me at to get for a reason.
We thought we were the unluckiest buyers but it was just a matter of patiently waiting.

Last week our buyers were stuck in London so couldnt sign now they have covid! But its ok as they "150% want the house" our estate agents said well it means nothing until they sign! The solicitor is going to their house today to get it signed I cant see it myself but we shall see
