The house we're buying has an odd layout - kitchen was added on the side, in what was a gap between house and garage. Then the garage was converted into a bedroom. Planning permission granted etc so all above board and it has building regs.
But it makes for an odd wiggly bit with 3 doors to navigate to get from the front of the house to the back garden (there is a separate front door as well). Would we need planning permission for this bit to be turned into front and back doors opposite each other, with kitchen to the right still and possibly a sort of lobby thing to the left with washing machine/tumble dryer and a small loo and basin? We don't want to keep the bathroom on the end of the bedroom either - there's already a shower room elsewhere downstairs and a bathroom upstairs.
