2nd house viewing - what to check? Ask?

We've viewed a lovely property bar a few niggles that we'd like to put an offer in for. Our 1st viewing was not that long so we may have missed a few things. I'm wondering what we should look out for on this 2nd viewing? Should we check the garage and loft as we weren't shown inside last time?
Also, do people check that appliances and things like taps and toilets are efficiently working or would it be strange if we did?
Anything else to look out for or ask about? Any advice would be much appreciated!

I turn lights on and off, turn taps on (make sure hot water comes through), flush loo, open and close doors and windows. It might look weird but it's a big purchase so so be it!

Check ceilings and walls for any cracks. Check the exterior front and back for any defects.

Look in the neighbours' gardens from the first floor to see if they're tidy etc.

Good luck!

1st viewing is heart.
2nd is head.
Go in with your practical head on, check the house really works for you. Definitely check taps, windows, garage, loft etc. Maintenance, painting, walls etc - has it been quickly tarted your to sell or are things generally good quality (even if old/tired). Says a lot about how well the house has been maintained. Is the garden overlooked? Road noise? Parking?
