Moving Overseas - What is the best way to sell household items?

I'm moving to the US in a few months and cannot take any electrical appliances with me. We have hi-fi systems, a TV, numerous small kitchen appliances, vacuum, etc. to get rid of - all less than 5 yrs old and in very good condition. I'm contemplating my options for selling these items and will put a priority on the most hassle-free way. What do you think? Ebay? Car boot sale? Advertise for an estate sale and have people come to my house (seems a bit scary) - where is the best place to advertise?
Appreciate your advice!

You can take a lot of your electricals with you and run them through transformers (and there is normally a 220V supply available, in addition to 110V). The TV won't pick up channels, but if you want to use it for just videos, then it may have a use. I won't take anything that draws a large current, but you don't need to chuck everything out - especially if you are not paying the cost of shipping.

We took almost everything with us to the US, and what we didn't we either left for our lodgers or put in the attic. We brough almost everything we aquired in the US too, and have a few transformer zones in the house.

Do you have a Maxi-cosi newborn carseat? I would like to buy one if you have.

Despite the possibility of using transformers, we want to get rid of mostly everything. We are originally from the US and will not be returning to the UK and already have some duplicate 110V items in the US. {Sorry, no Maxi-cosi}
