Hello!
We had a leak under the cabinets and this has caused the particleboard to swell and the covering has lifted/bubbled (pics)

please help me fix this - it’s the first thing I see when I walk into our kitchen and for some reason it’s genuinely upsetting 😭

thank you !

I’ve tried holding it flat but it bubbles up in another place. I have contact spray adhesive but am worried I’ll end up sticking it permanently with a bubble … is there a company or something that does it cheap? Would totally prefer DIY if I can as I just forked out £££ for a new tap 😭

I have had similar when covering books with sticky back plastic. I have made a couple of pinholes in the bubble and gradually smoothed the plastic down pushing towards the holes. I use a flat edged ruler to smooth rather than my fingers/hands.

Obviously yours in on a bigger scale and has greater financial implications.....

It might be easier to buy a new end panel. A little bit lifting you might be able to stick back down but that's quite a large area to get flat.

You can buy odds and ends like that in B&Q or on ebay - search White kitchen end panel (or cream gloss or whatever your kitchen is) if you don't know the original supplier.
