building firms to do multiple jobs?

Hi All,

We've got a few things that need doing in the house and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to speak to a building firm that can get it all sorted, or if it's better to find individuals to do each job?

We need fence panels replaced in garden, all down one side. Bedroom wall and ceiling replastered (as well as a few other plasterer bits), and want a bathroom refurb (including getting under and behind the hot water tank in a cupboard to redo the crumbling walls and holes in floor).

Any advice? Or recommended firms in South London? We are in South Norwood, SE25 if anyone is local ish!

Thanks!

I'd probably start by getting a bathroom refurb person/company (so they can organise the co ordination of the trades (electrical, tiler, plumber, plasterer). The plasterer can do the other plastering work for you too.

Use a different company, or perhaps a very good handyman, for the fencing.

I agree, but finding the good bathroom refurb people who can recommend others, or a great handyman to do fencing etc. is the trick...

I found a great electrician but he has no recommendations for others tradespeople...
