URGENT ADVICE NEEDED!

Need to decide whether to go for radiators or for (hot water) underfloor heating in large kitchen. This is a refit of an existing extension and the latter would mean digging up the concrete floor with a bigger initial cost, but thats not the main issue. Im interested in people`s experiences of living with either system ie efficacy, running costs, what happens in the event of breakdowns etc

We have both throughout the downstairs only because I was slightly worried that if one failed we would be quite cold.

Absolutely love the ufloor heating - absolutely lovely so our rads are on low or off. But because our floor is wood we can't wack up the u/floor heat if there is a cold snap so can turn up the rads.
