Hi, I was wondering if anyone else would like a thread to chat home style without necessarily having a big budget and/or being slave to latest trends? To exchange problems, ideas and inspiration, possibly with some flair/originality/creativity.
My own first degree is in the arts so I have a reasonably well trained eye and a feel for beauty and functionality. I live in a mid-century modern semi atm, but I am moving to a late Victorian terrace with a tiny garden next. I am finding the move from mid-c-modern to period quite exciting but also scary.
In a home I like integrity best, being faithful to its own period/style but find the reconstructed Edwardian/Victorian style which is now popular a little too 'film set' for me.
Anyway, talk to me sisters.
