Re-felt shed roof

I'm fairly competent at DIY but I've not re-felted a shed roof before. Any tips?

How easy should it be to remove the old clout nails, or should I just bang them in?

Any tips for the corners?

How long should it take me?

TIA

Always store felt standing up.

We went overboard doing the roof of the new shed but we want to not have to revisit it any time soon.

The cheaper felt from screwfix was put on first with those wide head but short felt nails.
The whole roof was then covered in bitumen felt adhesive and the second layer of the more expensive screwfix felt was put on at right angles to the first layer (plan ahead!).
Later, bitumen ( though I think the adhesive stuff will do ) was painted over the nails to seal them in.
Corners were folded with the least cuts possible and bitumen applied on gaps.

I did this with no bitumen. Just cut rectangles. Nailed on the left side, over the ridge. I ignored the old nails...Grin Corners were folded like a xmas present. Worked fine for me.

Wtf! Half my post was deleted. I meant to say I did the left side, then the right side & centre ridge last.

The only tip I've picked up is to lay your felt out flat to soak up the warmth from the sun first for a few hours. Obviously not in the height of summer! Makes it easier to mould into shape.

This is a good tip too. Use a thick nib Sharpie to mark it, cut with a Stanley knife with cardboard or old carpet or similar underneath.

YouTube has plenty of videos on felting a shed.
