I’ve seen a house I like near Gainsborough Old Hall
Can anyone tell me what Gainsborough is like to live in please?

It's a dump.

Next question.

I live near Gainsborough I think like a lot of towns it has it nicer areas and rougher areas. But overall yes it would be considered a deprived area. I guess it depends what your use to. There's lots of lovely places to visit close by around lincs/North Yorkshire/South Yorkshire if you like walking/outdoors.

Thanks for the warning. I read that report but those streets are lower down than the area the house I’m interested in.
However I’ll proceed with caution!

Thanks for your response
I’m looking in the affordable parts of England as budget is limited and therefore choice of locations
I’ll check out the town.
Sometimes the run down places improve over time as people take a punt due to cheapness and renovate older houses and developers move in.
Seeing that occurring in a south Yorks town nearby

My parents live 8 miles away. They might as well live 200 miles away as it’s so different. It’s is one of the worst places I know apart from backstreets of Blackpool. It does have a few nice shops in a restored mill but don’t let that fool you. Really not very nice at all.

I worked there for a bit as a student in temp jobs. I wouldn't live there. I'm generally not that fussy, I was born in Scunthorpe and now live in an area of Notts that's frequently looked down on Smile but Gainsborough is something else.

Is there a lot of aggro there?
I'm guessing the townspeople are not that friendly perhaps.
