Do estate agents care even less than before?

I have noticed that since there are so many people viewing sad bidding on each property the estate agents think nothing if changing viewing times, don't give the early heads up and don't care which buyer is in the best position. I have 2 viewings booked for Saturday. Both have been changed 3 times. I currently love 45 minutes away. When I asked if I could keep the original appointment or do another time they say no take it or go to the back of the viewing list. Neither rang me in advance of the righmove listing despite me ringing every week, having nothing to sell and wanting this location only.
It's disheartening enough to get beaten on every house despite offering over but having to deal with the estate agents as well is just miserable. Is anyone else finding this?

@Coffeesnob11, it is miserable. I feel your pain. And yes I agree they just don't care. We have to basically drop everything at attend viewings. If I am interested in a second viewing I always offer, wait to see if I am the chosen lucky one, then do a second viewing. Otherwise some don't even entertain a second viewing otherwise. Luckily I have only had a handful of properties where I have wanted a second viewing otherwise I would be offering for every house.

They work for the vendor, not you.

Not sure why you think they should ring you.
They work for the vendor.
The vendor is likely to get the best offer / most offers when there is competition. That doesn't mean they don't care, it means they are doing their job (well).

I have no idea what the situation was that meant they had to move appts about - I guess they are coping with staff illness / shortage just the same as any other business.

It isn't my experience that they don't take into account which buyers are in the best position either.

I think they don't really need to make much effort as houses have been selling themselves for the past 2 years in many areas. They know that potential buyers will call them so they don't need to bother to call you. They don't care about you; they care about making lots of successful sales so that they earn commission.

I'm guessing with the speed of the current market the estate agents don't really need to put much effort into securing viewings or matching properties to buyers.
