How long to hear back after best and final deadline

I’m being very impatient I know but I was wondering if there was a rough timescale to hear back whether our best and final offer has been accepted or what other peoples experience is. The deadline was today at 9 and the house was perfect for us, I just don’t know if I should prepare myself for a week / end of the day or next few hours 🤦‍♀️

If the deadline was 9am today then i'd expect you to hear back by the end of today or at the very latest tomorrow.

We heard back at 5pm following a deadline of 2pm the previous day 😡😡 Thought there was no chance by that point, but we got it.

They will present all the offers to the vendor so it depends whether they're at work.

Sometimes you hear immediately, otherwise it could be tomorrow morning. Certainly not a week.

Also bear in mind that even with b & f, you can up your offer after another has been accepted. No guarantee vendor will accept, but they might. It's not technically gazumping at that stage.

Thank you. I’ve just heard we didn’t get it and they went with another offer. There were only us and another bidder and we went 10k over asking so a bit gutted but it is what it is. Thanks again
