Have you used a housesitting website?

Reposting as I think I put this in the wrong place :)

As above. Booking summer holiday and between the kennels and cat sitter, it would be cheaper to take a couple of extra people on holiday with us all expenses paid (only half joking, but should probably do the sums to put it to the test)!

Have looked at mindmyhouse and trustedhousesitters and it seems too good to be true! Has anyone done this recently and care to share their experiences? Had a look on here but not many posts - the reviews on trustpilot etc. are a bit mixed.

Thank you!

Not me & not via a website, but a friend was in your position & was let down by another friend who was to house sit for her at the last minute. She posted on Facebook & asked if anyone had a friend who lived dogs & stunning dog walks that would like a free holiday in a beauty spot.

I connected her with other friends who were missing having dogs & loved uk breaks away. They are good friends now too & have sat for her again since.
I think the mutual friends angle definitely helped her feel safer with them & it's worked out really well. Perhaps that might be an idea
