Change window to French Door

I'm considering changing the bay window at the back of my bungalow to French doors out to the garden. I've been thinking about it for a while now but just wondered if anyone has done this and regretted it?

We also did this, not a bungalow. Wish we did it years ago, so much lighter and lovely to have them open in the summer.

The only time French doors are not so good if it's a window you might want to leave ajar on a hot night. Eg you could leave a small ground floor window open while sleeping in the room (well, I would) but I wouldn't leave a French door swinging open.

I exchanged two small poky windows for French doors into the garden.

LOVE THEM.

I love just looking at the garden at any time in any season, and the doors stand open all through the summer.

You could always have small side windows added either side of French doors Ffi0n.

We took out the big window in our kitchen to put french doors in. Was so much nicer being able to go straight from the kitchen out on to the patio. We turned the poky old back hall way into a utility space.

Thanks all. Only positive feedback.

I've set the ball in motion - with hoppers on the side panels.

Need to sort out a building warrant from the council and it's all systems go.
