Sold our house to a cash buyer in Dec. Found the house we want Jan. property really is one of a kind, couldn’t believe our luck. Cash buyer pulls out when we’ve already spent 1000’s of pounds.

The other person in our original bidding war came back today. He told the agent he will definitely come back with his best and final offer by close of play today. He hasn’t. They can’t get hold of him, text, phone, e mail. He’s vanished.

Thing is we wound accept his original offer but I can’t seem to get my agents to tell him that.

All hope is lost right? The house we want going back on tomorrow, they gave us 2 days….

Where’s he gone?

Oh no, did you get anywhere with this?

Zooforhouse · 24/02/2022 23:10

Nope. Agent finally got hold of him and he’s decided our bedrooms are too small.

We have 2 weeks to try and sell, market has slowed, I’m not hopeful.

Sorry to hear that! I'm sure it'll sell though. It might be a slightly less crazy market, but it's still pretty crazy compared to normal times.

Could you share what area is that, OP? I could jump straight in if I saw the right house, desperate to buy and no mortgage, but no dount it's not in my aera/budget.

Put yours back in the market, tell the people you’re buying off that you really want the property and keep you in mind if they don’t sell, if you’ve done searches etc they have to start again anyway.
