I'm due to move house soon and I'm compiling a list to pass onto the new homeowners (such as bin days etc ).
What information would you like as a new homeowner?

I gave our buyers the paint colours (they said they liked the colours), which local GP was the better surgery, bin collection rota's, local takeaways (the good ones). They were from another area so I also gave them the best bus routes to get to the stations as I knew they had to get the tube to their work.

I would leave a folder of manuals for appliances that you are leaving behind.

What's in the garden - are there any bulbs that come up, are any of the plants edible and which varieties are they, etc.

Our sellers left a folder with alarm service details, chimney cleaning certificates, appliance manuals and a sheet of useful info like stopcock location, bin days etc. This was extremely helpful.

When I sold mine I left similar but included names of paint colours/manufacturers for each room.

A list of people who you've used in the past in the property plumber, electrician type people as it can be a minefield when you've moved to find someone reliable

I didn't get the keys for the conservatory doors and windows and they didn't muck out the stables so was knee deep in straw and horse poo!

Oh I am nice... well I hope I am! They're moving into a different authority but not far at all and know the area well.
I plan to leave a bottle of fizz and a card!
