Bifold doors or French doors?

Has anyone any experience that would help me choose?

I'm replacing a 1970s 'picture window' (large wide window with very low window ledge).

Aren't Crittall doors the hot new (whilst not really being new) kid on the block?

Crittall doors look great... but expensive?

Sliders over bifolds. But if space is less than 2 meters go French doors.

We've had all 3 and bifolds would top my list. Much more flexible. I'm bemused by the insect comment as DS with french doors has more of a problem than we do with bifolds on that one.

@NovaHudson however did you make an unacceptable comment about windows!
