Can I sand down and repaint this bathroom cupboard?

Hello. The colour of this bathroom cabinet does not go well with the colour of the bathroom and I also hate the glossy finish.
Can I sand it down and repaint?
I've never worked with glossy bathroom furniture so I'm not sure and I don't want to jinx it.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

It doesn't look like a gloss paint finish but a gloss laminate - even if you paint it it will peel off very easily - it's not work the time or money

I'd either change the doors or just get a new unit

You can prime and paint but honestly with flat glossy doors I would look at using dc fix (like sticky back plastic) to upcycle it

You can rough it up with fine sandpaper and then paint it with zinsser first, then paint of your choice afterwards. The paint will stick to the zinsser.

Yes I meant - sand it, prime it and then paint it.

Still better than the hassle of getting a new unit and possibly having to redo the plumbing?

Plus I wouldn't want to chuck a perfectly functional unit. I quite like it, just hate the finish and colour....
