Is my buyer about to pull out?

This time last year my now ex husband left, it was for the best and I have no regrets. Fast forward to a few months later and I reconnected with a very dear old friend with whom I'm now buying a house.
Last Christmas was rubbish to say the least, and all I wanted this year was for my DD to return from her first year at university to an new home. After being strung along by estate agent and solicitor that we would definitely be moved by Christmas, here I am a week till Christmas and have just found out that my buyer wants to wait until new year.
I have been clear from accepting offer(persuaded by estate agent to accept as an investment buyer ready to proceed with a quick sale) and making offer that I needed to be moved by a certain date and was told all along this was possible. I have been living with my partner in his 1 bedroom flat for 3 months and have packed up the house, everything is boxed, ex has taken the furniture, and utilities switched off.
DD returned at the weekend, and believing we would move this Friday latest I book a hotel for us. I've now had to try and make the house liveable, we have blow up beds, no furniture, no TV, can't even find the kettle.
I'm torn between wanting to be with DD who is not talking to me and my partner.
There is no explanation for why my buyer is stalling, I have asked the estate agent to give a deadline.
I really don't know what to think or do

I would try and get the house liveable for Xmas or see if your dd can stay with her Dad?

House moves can take months and months, even when there is a small chain.

I guess your dd is cross that you have basically moved into a place without a bedroom for her and made the place where she does has a room unliveable.

Why is your DD not talking to you? That's not really ok at all. Extra rooms doesn't make a great Xmas, she shouldn't act like a brat just because you're in the middle of a stressful house move.

Are you a chain of the house you're buyinghouse you're sellinginvestor no house? What does the top of chain think about this? Have you pressed the EA and given him a specific date you want? Date ranges are never a good idea. With the deadline for drawing down funds you're probably almost too late anyway.
